We are looking for a passionate and motivated WordPress & PHP Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in PHP and WordPress development, along with a willingness to learn new technologies and contribute to the complete software development lifecycle.
As a WordPress & PHP Developer, you will work closely with experienced developers, designers, and project managers to build, customize, and maintain websites and web applications. This role offers excellent opportunities to enhance both backend and frontend development skills while working on real-world projects.
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of PHP and WordPress development.
- Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
- Basic knowledge of MySQL databases and SQL queries.
- Understanding of WordPress themes, plugins, and template hierarchy.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and web development best practices.
Other Skills
- Develop and maintain websites and web applications using PHP and WordPress.
- Customize WordPress themes, plugins, and website functionalities based on project requirements.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to create responsive and user-friendly websites.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented PHP code.
- Build and enhance frontend interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and jQuery.
- Integrate REST APIs and third-party services to extend website functionality.
- Basic knowledge of website security and performance optimization.
- Assist in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving website issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Implement website security best practices and optimize website speed and performance.
- Participate in code reviews, team discussions, and ensure websites are responsive, secure, and SEO-friendly.
Backend & Frontend Exposure
In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience with:
- Backend: Developing dynamic web applications using PHP, working with MySQL databases, creating custom WordPress themes and plugins, integrating third-party APIs, and implementing server-side business logic.
- Frontend: Building responsive user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and jQuery while customizing WordPress themes for an enhanced user experience.
- Website Management: Installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing WordPress websites, improving performance, implementing security best practices, and performing regular updates and backups.
Requirements
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote (WFH)
Education: MCA, MSc IT, BE IT, BE Computer, BCA, BSc IT, or Equivalent Degree.
Experience: 6 month–2 year of experience in PHP or WordPress development (internships, academic projects, or personal projects are a plus).
